MISSION STATEMENT:
Coulee Catholic Schools offers the opportunity for an excellent Catholic education rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are a family centered school community which respects the God-given dignity of every person and celebrates the development of Gospel faith an identity through sacrament and service. We are committed to provide learning focused and student centered curriculum for the good of the Church and the world.
Prior to the advent of organized education, Catholic Schools were recognized as the most effective school system in the U.S. Because of their effectiveness in educating, students of all levels, socio/economic status, faith and nationalities, Catholic Schools still enjoy this distinction. We at Coulee Catholic Schools go forth in accordance with Christ's teachings and the traditions of our school's organization. We have developed the following principals to serve as our guiding light.
- Catholic Schools historically have been and continue to be recognized for their religious and moral standards, school and student discipline, and caring and safe family atmosphere, as well as for the high quality traditional academic education they provide.
- Spiritual formation of our students strikes at the very heart of who we are. The main purpose of Catholic Schools is to pass on our faith to all who choose to walk our halls. This process begins at the pre-school level and continues through the elementary and secondary education levels. These ideas are fostered through action and service to others.
- We are committed to the whole person. Full service guidance programs from the pre kindergarten through senior level of high school assist students with personal and developmental growth, career exploration, academic planning, and college search and admissions.
- A diverse, highly organized, co-curricular program provides opportunities for all CCS students to experience the joy of learning by doing. Through experimental education practices, they learn the exhilaration of discovering new facts and learning new skills. Through these programs students are exposed to music, drama, arts, and athletics. They discover how to cultivate their leadership skills, allowing talented future leaders of our community to emerge and begin to see the world with a larger vision.
- We are committed to provide Catholic education to all. Coulee Catholic Schools and the Diocese of La Crosse, respect the dignity of each individual and will not discriminate on the basis of race, nationality, or sex in regard to enrollment. (DSP 5101)
We seek a rich diversity in our student body and encourage all who are interested to apply. In keeping with the expressed intention of our Diocesan Bishop, no child will be excluded from attending a Catholic School because of finances.
- Coulee Catholic School's Pledge:
- To provide the best possible Catholic education for each child.
- To make each child its highest priority.
- To be answerable to each family and the parishes which support the system.
- To be financially responsible.
- To fulfill its evangelical ministry as part of the Catholic Church.
